How to get the most out of your moisturizer
Wash first. It’s not enough to simply splash water on your face and body. You need to cleanse to remove makeup, dirt, sweat, and grime that may have accumulated on your skin.
Use the right cleanser. Soap can strip your skin of its natural moisturizing oils, so lather up with a cleanser designed specifically for your face. Bar soaps and other body washes aren't acceptable when it comes to your delicate facial skin. Limit your shower to no more than 10 minutes and use warm water, not hot, to prevent your skin from drying out.
Exfoliate regularly. Sloughing off dead skin allows your moisturizer to be absorbed more easily and to penetrate deeper. The very best way to do this is coming to Sole and receiving a microdermabrasion facial. However most of us can't do that once a week, so do your microderms about once a month and substitute at home with a good physical exfoliant, such as a scrub. Want to go a step further? Use the Clarisonic Pro every time your cleanse your skin to keep your skin looking bright.
Apply moisturizer to damp skin. After a shower, your skin already has moisture in it a good moisturizer will help lock the water in, and it penetrates well-hydrated skin better. Moisturize no more than two to three minutes after cleansing to take advantage of the moisture boost.
Massage moisturizer in. Just like nail polish, the way you apply moisturizer makes all the difference. A light massage will allow the cream to be absorbed better and will help distribute it more evenly than a couple of swipes. I recommend using your middle and ring fingers to apply moisturizer with gentle, light upward strokes.
Wait a minute! Don’t rush to put on clothes after you apply moisturizer. You need time to allow the moisturizer to be absorbed, or else it’s just rubbed off by your clothes. The goal is to give yourself a good five minutes before you get dressed. You want to feel clean, hydrated, and ready to face the day.
One of our favorite's is Skin Medica's TNS Ultimate Daily Moisturizer + SPF 20. It is the ultimate in fighting environmental aggressors from the inside out. Enriched with natural antioxidants this moisturizing formula guards against the destructive effects of free radicals and shields your skin against the sun's harmful rays with full spectrum UVA/UVB protection. It is so much more than just a moisturizer!

NEW and exciting fillers!
We are so excited about the new fillers we now offer!!
So many new ways we can better meet your needs!
So many new ways we can better meet your needs!
There is a new dermal filler here called Belotero! It is designed to help erase facial wrinkles and repair aging skin. From the same family as Restylane and Juvederm, Belotero represents the next generation of hyaluronic fillers, and it is designed to add subtle volume and plumpness to facial tissue. This product has been in use in Europe for several years and has been recently approved by the FDA for cosmetic use in the United States. Belotero is a hyaluronic acid-based gel that is designed to deliver natural looking results with little recovery time. What makes this product different from the older fillers is that it is a softer, smoother gel that will more easily integrate into facial skin to smooth out the creases and lines of the face. Patients treated with Belotero have said that they see immediate results with the reduction of wrinkles but that the results are subtle and more natural compared with other fillers.
Belotero is Dr.Pierzchajlo's favorite filler for the "tear trough" area under the eyes. The flow of the gel is so smooth, we are able to inject it immediately under the eye with a great result. With older fillers there was a chance of having a blue hue come through the skin, but NOT with Belotero. In this area the skin is so thin and sensitive that it did not respond as well to some of the older more granular fillers. Belotero has made working on these areas easier for Dr.Pierzchajlo and provides more realistic results for the patient.
Solé is proud to be one of the first practices in the Georgia to debut LaViv, a revolutionary approach to smoothing wrinkles and nose-to-mouth lines. While most injectable fillers use collagen or hyaluronic acid to smooth wrinkles, LaViv is different. LaViv uses cutting edge technology to take your body's own cells to rejuvenate your skin, creating new collagen. This means no risk of allergic reactions, no injection of foreign substances, and best of all, fewer treatments necessary to achieve your desired look - one that may last significantly longer than other injectable fillers.
The LaViv process is simple. A consultation will determine how you will best benefit from LaViv, whether it is for smoothing forehead lines, frown lines, or crows feet. Dr. Pierzchajlo will take a small sample of cells from behind your ear, and use the Fibrocell process to create new, pure, cells called fibroblasts. These are injected back into the problem areas in your skin, where the fibroblasts will help your skin rebuild its very own natural collagen (for structure), elastin (for tautness), and hyaluronic acid (for thickness).
Because of the amount of regular filler patients Dr.Pierzchajlo sees, Solé was chosen to be one of three providers in Georgia to have LaViv available. If you are interested in learning more about what LaViv can do to help you erase facial wrinkles, call today to set up a consultation.
The first FIVE patients in JUNE ONLY that
receive LaViv will be given a special introductory pricing on this new product.

What do your TEETH and SKIN have in common?
We have talked about Micropeels and Essential Serum in the past. Why do you need to have both a service and a product though? Does that seem a bit over the top? Well, does brushing your teeth AND seeing your dentist on a regular basis seem like over kill? Of course not, if you want healthy teeth!
It's the same for your skin. If you want great looking, healthy skin you really need both. You need to come in and see us to slow down the aging clock and repair all your years of damage, but on top of that you need to have a product that is actually increasing the collagen production within your skin. Nothing "over the counter" can do this! A product with the right kind of antioxidants to keep free-radicals from damaging your skin.
At Solé we are proud to carry Skin Medica's products. Unlike other skincare lines, Skin Medica actually allows our Skincare Specialists to choose a very customized set of products that are perfect for your skin, instead of having a one-size fits all kit.

What differs Fillers from Botox?
Radiesse is calcium base filler which makes it a non-allergenic product that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and skin folds around the mouth and nose, gives fullness to cheeks, smoothes the appearance of jowls and fills certain scars. Radiesse is popular for its long-lasting results. The benefits continue for a year to a year and half. Since Radiesse is temporary, treatments must be repeated over the years to maintain the benefit. Dr. Pierzchajlo stresses importance on achieving optimal results, so small injections spaced out over several sessions may be required to achieve satisfactory results. Being that Radiesse is a calcium based gel making it non-allergenic, the complications are typically limited to minimal swelling and bruising and normal activities can be resumed immediately after treatment.
Depending on your areas of concern, there may be alternative treatment options available. Juvederm XC is an effective product that helps to smooth facial wrinkles especially highly visible ones around the mouth and nose. The lack of hyaluronic acid which is found in young, healthy skin can be replaced by using safe dermal filler. Juvederm XC injectable gel works to correct this by restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin, helping to diminish wrinkles and nasolabial folds. Juvederm is also useful for enhancing lip volume, creating a plump and pouty look while remaining soft and natural to the touch. From smile lines to vertical lip lines, you can smooth away unwanted wrinkles and restore natural contours. The product is infused with lidocaine, a numbing solution which improves comfort during treatment. With Juvederm XC you get the smooth results you expect, with the improved comfort you want.
A large number of people are having Botox injections performed to regain a more youthful appearance. Botox is most often used on the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines. So, now we know that fillers add volume, how does Botox work? It blocks the release of chemicals that triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. So, you can say goodbye to frown lines and say hello to smoother looking skin!

From freckles to age spots
Maybe its new pigment that you are noticing after a wonderful summer in the hot south Georgia sun or age spots that have been around for years. Or better yet pigment that came along with your pregnancy and never went away. No matter the cause, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is a quick and effective way to lighten up those annoying areas.
Unlike laser resurfacing, deep chemical peels, and dermabrasion, there is almost no downtime with IPL. That means no blisters, burns or long recovery period, and you can go right back to your life after your treatment is complete. This therapy is based on high-intensity pulses of light that penetrate the skin. There are several different machines that emit different wavelengths of IPL to penetrate different distances into the skin.
Different wavelengths treat different colors within. At Sole we use the IPL therapy to focus on both reds and browns in the skin. Treatments will over time help any browns spots lighten signficantly and also reduce the appearance of capillaries and redness.
Are You a Candidate for IPL?
You are not a good candidate for intense pulsed light therapy if you have diabetes, as this disease may affect your body's wound-healing ability.
Discuss your candidacy with our qualified physician or aesthetician. He or she will examine your skin and any scars you have. Although most candidates don't have to go through a testing process, there are certain skin types that will need to have a patch test to see how you react to IPL. After this test, you have to watch the test area for several days for any reactions such as blistering, pigmentation problems, rashes, or persistent redness. Report any problems back to our office.
If you are deemed an appropriate candidate, we will devise an individualized IPL treatment plan. You will be instructed on what (and what not) to do for the two weeks before your first treatment. This will likely include staying out of the sun and avoiding certain medications and skincare products that may increase sensitive to the light treatment.
IPL Treatment
Your technician will apply a cold gel to the area to be treated and a glass prism is placed over the treatment area. Pulses of intense light will be flashed through the prism, directed at the treatment area. You will receive several treatments. Your first treatment may not be as aggressive as those that follow. Treatments are usually performed every three to four weeks. The treated area may be slightly pink or red right after your treatment. There may be some mild swelling. Follow your doctor’s advice regarding the judicious use of sunscreen with a high sun protection factor after your IPL treatment.
